Privacy Policy

Contact form. If you send us a message, we receive the details you type: your name, email address, the service you are asking about, and your message. We use it only to reply to you.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running securely and to understand overall traffic. We do not use it to identify you.

Map. The "Find us" map is provided by Google Maps. Nothing is requested from Google when the page first loads. The map loads only once you scroll far enough down the page to be about to see it. If you never scroll that far, no request is made and no Google cookie is set. Once it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

This website does not set cookies of its own. Third-party cookies may be set by Google Maps, and only once the map has loaded.

We will not use your information for any other purpose without telling you and, where the law requires it, asking for your consent.

We use trusted service providers to run this website. They process information only on our instructions:

• Form delivery: Web3Forms, which forwards contact-form submissions to our

email.

• Hosting: Cloudflare, which serves the website.
• Maps: Google, once the map loads.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada (for example, in the United States). When they do, that information may be subject to the laws of those countries.

We may also share information when the law requires it, for example in response to a lawful request from a Canadian authority.

When you exchange currency or send money in person, Canadian anti-money-laundering law (the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act) requires us to verify your identity and keep records of certain transactions. This information is collected in the shop, not through this website, and is kept and reported as the law requires. Ask our staff for details at the counter.

Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period under their own policy. Records required by anti-money-laundering law are kept for the period the law sets (currently five years).

The website is served over HTTPS. We limit who can see contact-form messages and use reputable providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive details such as ID numbers or account numbers through the contact form; bring those to the shop instead.

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where the law allows. You can also withdraw consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and contractual limits. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca) or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (www.oipc.ab.ca).

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
